Parent Support

Parenting is no cakewalk.

Parenting is the single most challenging and fantastic job in the world. (And you know firsthand better than anyone). But, add on financial stress, shifting relationship dynamics, and the inevitable life transitions – it quickly becomes an impossible task!

The expectations on parents today are demanding (to say the least).

Parents are asked to be emotionally aware and educated on all areas of health and wellness. Meeting these expectations also includes managing all the things related to the household, relationships, extracurricular activities while still finding some time for self-care.

Parents are expected to maintain the do it all and do it perfectly mentality of past generations without ever complaining or becoming overwhelmed. (No problem, right?)

And you’ve done it! You’ve managed it all, you are more aware than your parents, but you still have no roadmap. And this has been causing you to feel a bit lost.

Your child’s struggling.

Your children are emotional: angry, sad, and scared all the time – how is it possible for them to be feeling that many things all the time!? You wish you knew what they needed!

You’d do anything for them if you only knew what to do!

You hesitated to reach out in the past because you felt like you were supposed to know already. Now, things have only gotten worse.

I’ve got good news!

You don’t have to do it alone anymore!

I specialize in helping parents just like you decode their child’s behaviors and access their deeper needs. Together, we’ll address those needs, which results in lasting change and healing for your child and your whole family.

You’ll come away with the skills you need to feel confident in your parenting and connect fully with your child.

Parental support is part of the therapeutic process.

When you bring your child to counseling with me, a significant part of the process is the

parent support sessions.

In addition to your child’s weekly sessions with me, you and I will meet without your child present once per month. Your involvement in the therapeutic process is key to creating lasting change for your child.

I’m committed to helping your child using the very best of my abilities. This means that your involvement in parent support sessions is an essential component. In these sessions, we’ll be entering into a partnership, working toward the joint goal of increasing both the health and happiness of your child.

We need each other.

Parents gain skills to support their children.

I provide a nonjudgmental space for you to share the entire background of your child’s behavior and experiences so we can give your child the most effective treatment possible.

To respect your child’s confidentiality, I won’t be sharing details of their session with you; however, I will keep you informed about what I’m observing in your child’s sessions.

Together, we’ll decipher what their behavior is communicating and address the deeper needs.

I’ll share the skills I use in our sessions and give you the tools to respond to your child’s unique challenges and behaviors in a way that provides consistency both in and out of the counseling space. This allows for lasting change and healing for your child.

Parent support sessions will help with any lingering confusion and overwhelm as you become more confident and relaxed in your parenting role.

Parents often come to me wanting to share the joy and differences they notice in themselves, as well as their child, after just one or two sessions!

Come and experience it for yourself!

Together, let’s help your child through their struggles. With the proper support for your child, your whole family will soar.
